Bio: For purposes of this "healthy eating" blog, the important thing is that I can critique research design and evaluate the efficacy of both the conduct of nutrition research and the integrity of inferences and extrapolations that emanate from that research. Professionally I am Professor of Management at Seattle University. I have published two books and over 120 articles, and my publications and commentary on the costs of smoking in the workplace, from 1980 to 1995, started the movement toward eliminating toxic air contamination in the American, Canadian, and UK work environments. My current writing and publishing address the public-health implications of the Standard American Diet, the teaching of emotional intelligence, leadership and team development, and the anatomy of today's crisis in higher education.
